I just became an award winning artist.

Recently, I had the incredible honor of winning first place at the Vancouver Arts and Music Festival! Although I’ve been painting for over a decade and had several solo shows, I hardly ever enter juried shows or festivals. This recognition means so much to me, and I’m deeply grateful for the support and encouragement.

This achievement is particularly special as it wraps up an exciting chapter that began with The Dead Poets Society pop-up gallery show late last year. The Dead Poets went on a bit of a tour in various public spaces. The Vancouver School of Arts and Academics during the spring and later at The Vancouver Community Library in early summer. Each location brought new energy and perspectives to the work, and it was deeply rewarding to see my art engaging with people.

Having my work out in the public eye has been both exhilarating and humbling. The conversations, reactions, and connections made during these exhibitions have been invaluable, and I’m so excited to continue sharing my work with all of you.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Your support fuels my passion and drives me to keep creating. Here’s to more artistic adventures ahead!
